The short version: this site collects almost nothing itself, and the main thing worth reading about is advertising.

What this site collects directly

Nothing you type. There are no accounts, no comments, no newsletter signup and no search box. The fill-in prompts work entirely inside your browser and send nothing to a server.

No analytics. This site runs no analytics script. There is no Google Analytics, no third-party tracker, and no pixel.

No cookies set by this site. The site itself sets none.

Server logs. Like nearly all web hosting, the server records standard request information: the page requested, the time, your IP address, your browser's user agent string, and the referring page. These are generated by the hosting platform, used to keep the site running and investigate problems, and not combined with anything else or used to build a profile of you.

Your project details stay in your browser. If you fill in the "Your project" panel, those four fields are saved in your browser's local storage, so prompts can fill themselves in on later visits. They are never sent to this server or to anyone else. Nothing you type into any other blank is saved at all. The Clear button in the panel removes what's stored, and so does clearing this site's data in your browser.

The copy buttons use your system clipboard and send nothing anywhere.

Advertising

When advertising is displayed on this site, it is served by Google AdSense.

Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on that activity.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Third-party vendors and ad networks may serve ads on this site and may themselves use cookies to do so. This site does not control those cookies and cannot see the data they collect. Where required by law, you will be asked for consent before advertising cookies are set, and you can withdraw that consent at any time through the same mechanism.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, data protection law gives you rights over personal data held about you. These include the right to ask what is held, to ask for a copy, to ask for corrections, to ask for deletion, and to object to processing.

The only personal data this site holds is contained in server logs and in any email you choose to send. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask for log entries relating to your IP address to be deleted, email hello@vibecoded.today.

If you email me, I keep the message so I can reply to it and so I have a record of corrections people have reported. I don't add your address to any list, and I don't share it.

Links to other sites

Pages here link to other websites. Once you follow a link, this policy no longer applies and the destination site's own policy does.

Children

This site is aimed at adults building software. It isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
